These verses caused me to reflect on the times in which we live. God is calling the world to turn to Him. He’s also calling for His children to come out boldly and allow His light to shine through them brightly as a beacon of hope to others. Our God has been so patient with the sins of our nation. He is indeed gracious and merciful to a world that has largely turned their backs on Him and His righteousness. Yet He still says, repent from evil and come to Me. It’s time for our nation to turn back to God and His Godly precepts. It starts with His children and our hearts being pure before Him. “Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with ALL your heart…” There is no longer time for a wishy washy Christian.
