Today, the Lord spoke to my heart about forgiveness. We recently had someone steal items from us that we didn’t have the money to replace. God restored the items to us and I urged my husband to let it go. Later in the evening, I my spirit was vexed over several people that felt entitled to use me. I was also bitter towards someone that had tried on numerous occasions to hurt my marriage. I felt that tug at my heart, forgive them daughter. Poppa, it’s not fair what they are doing or have done. My Heavenly Father continued to prod, forgive them anyways. Help me Poppa. Soften the grounds of my heart to forgive them anyways. Forgiveness isn’t about them, it is about what not forgiving does to us. We are called to be Christ like, made in the very image of God. He forgave and continues to forgive so much that we have done or will do. Let go of anything you are holding in your heart and place it at our Father’s feet. It will release a burden from you that the enemy had tried to convince you to carry. Having true peace in your heart is worth more than the turmoil that comes from unforgiving others.
