Life can hurl some pretty horrific things at us. Fear is the first reaction of our flesh, but fear is not of God. It is a lie from the from the enemy to torment and cause worry. During such times, we only need to cry out to our Father. Just as today’s passage says, when we seek Him. the Lord will deliver us from our fears. God really spoke to me about this passage as the Holy Spirit broke it down. David says he sought the Lord, and He HEARD him, and DELIVERED him from ALL of his fears. He sought the Lord, He made an active attempt to seek the Lord. When He did this, the Lord HEARD him. Our Father hears our prayers! Then the verse says the Lord DELIVERED him from his fears. Not that there was a chance he’d deliver him, He delivered him! When we seek the Lord, He listens. He not only listens, He responds. To set all of this in motion there has to be action on our part.
