I read this passage this morning and felt the nudge of the Holy Spirit to use it today. Later in the evening I was copying notes from Wednesday’s class and the same verse jumped up out at me. Okay, Lord, I hear You! Too many times our thoughts try to consume us. This can be about anything and everything going on in our lives. The enemy is a master of distraction and the farther of lies. Meditating on God’s Word is crucial in overcoming those distractions and recognizing those lies. It is the key to renewing our minds. It’s important to learn to recognize the enemies tactics and pull out the Word to cut him off in his tracks. When you notice your mind going in any direction that the Lord would not have taken you, counter it with the Word of God. It also helps to turn up they praise music and sing along with it! Pray for God’s wisdom to start showing you these distractions and pray daily for the renewing of your mind and on some days, all throughout the day too! 🦅 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” ~ Joshua 1:8
