Today’s passage really made me think on the goodness of God. His mercy over us is just amazing. It says they cried unto the Lord IN their trouble and He saved them out of THEIR distresses. He goes further in verse 20 when it says He sent His Word and healed them and DELIVERED them from their destructions.” He could have left them there, He could have said they got themselves into this, I’ll just let then destroy themselves. BUT He had mercy.
Oh what mercy He shows on His children today. He rescued me in the past from an emotionally abusive relationship and now here I am in a marriage that has not been emotionally safe for quite some time. BUT His mercy and His grace have sustained me. He knows my heart better than anyone. He understands my struggle like no other. He hears my cry and collects every tear regardless of how I got there. His Word heals and delivers. I think too often we don’t show each other that same grace and mercy. Often we don’t even show ourselves that grace and mercy. Something to ponder. 🦅 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
