The Lord has had holiness on my mind. Holiness is the state of being holy. “a life of holiness and total devotion to God” Total devotion to God, that spoke to my spirit. We are in the world, but not a part of the world. We are separated, called apart. We are to be different. The enemy has all kinds of gateways that he uses to pull us into the world. He can use music and scary movies to open portals or doors that allow evil spirits to come in. I was reminded of how a vampire has to be invited into a home in the movies. Demons aren’t a thing made up for movies, they are real and they don’t need an invitation. They just need a door to walk through. We pick up spirits in all kinds of ways if we are not completely in tuned with our Father. Deliverance is not for the unsaved. It is for the saved to rid us of those things that blind us to Christ and what He is saying to us.
How does this all relate to holiness? When we are living in the world and doing the things of the world, it causes a separation of Christ. It muddies our testimony. We should seek out our Father and the things that move us closer to Him and remove the things that bring in demons and unholiness. This is sometimes a gradual process as you are delivered from various things, but you have to want to be part of that process. You have to want less of me and more of you Lord. This can be a painful process that many won’t understand. Do it anyways. It will bring you closer to God and His calling on your life. Poppa, help me.
