Full disclosure… I have a really hard time getting up in the morning. I am praying for God to change this so I can rise early and meet Him in prayer. This morning when I took the dogs out, I saw a slug beneath my bird feeder. Immediately, God began to speak to me about the sluggards in the Bible. A sluggard is, “a lazy, sluggish person.” In the Bible a sluggard is a, “habitually lazy person.” I’m on day 3 with a migraine and just wanted to close my eyes and sleep, but I have work and studying to do. Poppa, I don’t want to sleep my life away. I don’t want to be found lazy on my watch for You. Help me Poppa, help us, to be habitually on fire of you. No laziness! Replace it with a zeal for you, a thirst for you that can’t be quenched. In Jesus name Amen! ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? 10 [Yet] a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: 11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man. ~ Proverbs 6-9-11
