I sat and thought on today’s passage for awhile. Jesus is the light of the world. His light should shine through us. When we come to Christ and except Him as our Savior, we start to change from the inside out. It’s not always an instant change, but often it is a gradual one. We start to lose interest in the things we once enjoyed, i.e., smoking, going to bars, watching certain movies or listening to certain music. The Lord starts to convict us over our language. We truly become a new creation through Christ. I was overwhelmed this afternoon and found myself yelling at my computer. I stopped and reflected on my behavior, forgive me Poppa. Being a Christian is not being perfect. God gives us grace! It’s changing those ungodly behaviors as time passes. Don’t be discouraged when you mess up. Give it to God and keep pressing, allowing His light to shine through you. He’s not looking for perfection, but a willing heart pressing toward the mark! 🦅 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
