Charity in today’s passage means love. Love suffereth long and is kind. Love envieth not. Love vaunteth not itself and I’d not puffed up. Do we see a pattern here? Love doth not behave itself unseemly. Love doesn’t seeketh her own. Love is not easily provoked. Love thinketh no evil. This really made me think. Love doesn’t hurt and love forgives. It’s not selfish, it’s not self serving. It is humble. I think our world has this all confused. It is not easily provoked.
