Where is the help I prayed for? In Daniel 10 we find he is visited by an angel who tells him he understood he needed to come quickly because God had heard his prayers. He was delayed by the enemy for 21 days when Michael came to help him. During this 21 days of opposition, Daniel prayed and fasted. This shows us the angel was dispatched and prayer and fasting allowed them to breach the enemy to get through. God hears us and dispatches help, but we need to do our part as well. Prayer combined with fasting provides a powerful breakthrough in whatever you are seeking or when under attack.
