I heard that someone close to me ask another, why would you want the Holy Ghost and to speak in tongues? I think my jaw might have dropped. This was someone who had been a preacher, someone who told me more than once just how close he and God are. I’ve thought about that often. Why wouldn’t you want that gift? The Holy Spirit prayers on our behalf when we don’t have the words. The Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groaning. He intercedes on our behalf. Receiving the Holy Spirt with the gift of tongues will transform your life. You will have a comfort and closeness to God that is beyond human comprehension. Don’t be afraid of the gift.
