Nourishment for Your Soul and Mind: March 24, 2024

Happy Palm Sunday. This morning Pastor Steve preached from Luke 19. One of the things that really caught my attention was verse 41 where it says Jesus wept over the city. He wept. Wept here is β€œof uncertain affinity; to sob that is to wail aloud: bewail. Weep.” That is a powerful definition. He already knew He was to be crucified in the coming days. Knowing this, His heart was not focused on His cruel impending death on the cross. No, His heart was grieved for the city who could not accept Him while He was there. Here we are all these years later and I can only imagine how grieved He is when He looks down on a nation turned from Christ. He is the peace this lost world is longing for, but they are blinded and cannot see it. My prayer on this Palm Sunday is for the veil to be lifted from eyes all across this nation and world so that they accept Jesus and that precious peace that comes with Him. He’s calling, all you have to do is answer that call. πŸ¦… ~ Chelle, Daughter of THE King #f8ithgal

β€œ41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, 42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things [which belong] unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.” ~ Luke 19:41-42
