Nourishment for Your Soul and Mind: April 6, 2024

Forgiving is intentionally letting go of hurt and/ or resentment. It is only when we let those things go that God can heal our hearts. If you allow those things to fester, satan will use them to create hate in your heart. Jesus forgave us and we are commanded to forgive for our sakes. Forgiving is just as much for us as them! That doesn’t mean the hurt just magically disappears, but it does mean God starts to heal your heart. He heals it to the point where you actually pray for the offender. That doesn’t mean you place yourself back into a toxic situation, you forgive and pray for them from a far. I thought on this hard today. Letting go of a betrayal of any kind is so difficult, but with God you can do it. It may be a continual process for a while, but God will flood your heart with forgiveness. Draw unto Him child of God and release your pain and anger to Him. He will heal you and use what you’ve gone through to rescue others. 🦅 ~ Chelle, Daughter of THE King #f8ithgal

“10 To whom ye forgive any thing, I [forgive] also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave [it], for your sakes [forgave I it] in the person of Christ; 11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” ~ 2 Corinthians 2:10-11
