I find so much comfort in today’s passage. We live in a world filled with darkness. We are often troubled on every side, but the peace and trust in the Lord prevents us from being distressed. We are often perplexed by what we see, but not in despair. Persecuted by this world but never forsaken. Cast down but not destroyed, we have a constant Father and advocate watching over us. We will receive heavy blows in this life, some will knock the very air from our body. But God! He never leaves us to face these things alone.
