Today’s passage has been deep in my spirit since yesterday morning as I began to think about today’s 4th of July celebrations. I reflected on past celebrations and the changes that had to break me to fix me as crazy as that sounds. I’m still healing but it is a process that my Father is in control of.
I also reflected on all of the lies and narcissistic abuse I’m coming out of. This gives me a deep insight in helping others leave and recover from such relationships. Today in the United States we celebrate our independence. I realized by walking away from a toxic relationship that was literally killing me, I too gained my independence back. I became free of the gaslighting and all of the lies.
Enter today’s verse. The blood of Jesus sets us free from sins. It sets us free from any self condemnation, including me condemning myself for my marriage ending and things that were out of my control. His blood gives us eternal life. Who HE sets free is free indeed. He had rescued me from abuse and HE has set me free from a relationship that was not only making me sick, it was stealing from my anointing and draining me. He has set me free and given me a testimony to help others.
Today is the first celebration in my home since I moved. It will be filled with family and friends, most who know what God has brought me through. It will not only be a celebration of our country’s independence, but a celebration of what God has set me free from. It will be a reflection of what Jesus did. If the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed. I am thankful to be free. God Bless. 🦅 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
