The word slothful in the Bible “generally refers to spiritual and moral laziness.” This is something no Christian wants to be found guilty of. Today’s passage tells us not be slothful, but it goes on to tell you who you should follow. It says to follow those who faith and patience inherit the promises. Who you hang with matters. Who you follow is very important. I want to follow those who lift me up to where I need to be. I want to surround myself with those that encourage me in Christ.
