Today’s passage encourages us to try the spirits we encounter. This is so important in the times in which we are living. Even the church itself is full of spirits that are not the Holy Spirit. We learned in Job that satan himself goes before God. Do not be naive to believe that every person and the spirits they carry are from God. Yes, I said spirits. The man in Mark was filled with foul spirits (Mark 5:9). When ask the name of the spirit, it responded “My name is Legion: for we are many.” People are still to this day filled with such spirits. Many spirits are a copy cat to the Holy Spirit. Be vigilant, try the spirits you encounter and pray for God to help you discern what is clean and what is unclean. 🦅 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
