A dear brother sent me today’s passage as yesterday’s Scripture and it resonated with me. We live in a world that thinks you fight a wrong with another wrong, better said you fight evil with evil. Today’s passage tells us clearly evil can only be overcome with good. It takes light to shine through the darkness. I understand the pain of being hurt, especially by someone you love, but in the end returning the same kind of action will only hurt you more. No, instead show the love of Jesus towards them and pray for them. I am not telling you to return to the abuse, but to forgive. You forgive and let it go even if you have to ask God to help you every day until one day you find you’ve forgiven them. Christ forgave us while we were yet sinners. Remaining in a state of anger or hurt can only dim your light and the world needs that light to shine brightly. May God heal you from those private hurts and His love pour into you so strong it becomes a light to all of those whose path you cross. 🦅 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
