The Holy Spirit is a gentleman. He will not force you to seek the face of God. Today’s passage tells us to seek the Lord “while” He may be found, to call upon Him “while” He is near. That tells us He will not always be found, He will not always be near. Today is the day to forsake wicked ways and repent. God will have mercy on you and pardon all of your sins. We aren’t promised tomorrow that is why it is so important to make things right today. Even more, we do not know when Jesus will return. No one wants to be in the act of sin when that glorious day arrives. He is calling the lost today. Won’t you answer that call? Where you spend eternity is at stake.
