In Judges 15:14, we find the Lord came upon Samson mightily and the cords that were on his arm became as flax that was burnt with fire, and the bands loosed from off his hands. Verse 15 continues, he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and skew a thousand men. A thousand men, could you imagine?!
That brings us to today’s passage. Samson was “sore athirst” and called on the Lord who had delivered him asking if he would now die of thirst. But God! God clave an hollow place that was in the jaw, and there came water thereout; and when he had drunk, his spirit came again, and he revived. God did not leave him thirsty. In fact, he provided water and revived him.
I feel like there was a word in that for many including myself. You have fought battles that most know nothing about. It has left you tired and thirsty. But God! The living water is opening up a spring for you to drink freely from You are going to be revived in Jesus name. In that water you will be refreshed and strengthened to press on. God is reminding someone you are not alone. You carry my Spirit with you. Drink and be refreshed, there is so much left for you to do. The devil has tried to wear you out, But God! He has an endless supply of Living Water and His grace is sufficient for you! 🦅 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
“18 And he was sore athirst, and called on the LORD, and said, Thou hast given this great deliverance into the hand of thy servant: and now shall I die for thirst, and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised? 19 But God clave an hollow place that [was] in the jaw, and there came water thereout; and when he had drunk, his spirit came again, and he revived: wherefore he called the name thereof Enhakkore, which [is] in Lehi unto this day.” ~ Judges 15:18-19
