God has been bringing today’s passage to my mind more and more. He’s drawing me into a closer relationship with Him. As He does, He shows me branches that need pruning and some branches that need to be completely cut away because they affect my growth in Him and my attachment to THE Vine ((Him). I cannot produce good fruit with dead branches attached. Without God, I can do nothing. But, I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.
Cutting some of those branches away is painful, they were rooted deep within me. I am thankful for a God that loves me enough to cut away anything that prevents me from hearing Him, anything that draws me from Him, anything that stumps my growth, the list is endless. It is extremely important to examine yourself and ask God to prune what needs pruning and where to cut branches, things (or people) away. Today is a good day for a heart check. Spend some time talking to God about the condition of your connection to THE Vine. 🦅 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” ~ John 15:5
