There is wicked everywhere we look today. We even find it in “praying” people and “Christian” people. You can paint a label on anyone, it is their habits and actions that reveal the true condition of the heart. Those who truly love the Lord hate evil. Evil cannot continue to abide in a child of God. The Holy Spirit resides within us, it cannot coexist with evil. Today’s passage says God preserves the souls of His saints AND delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.
We all have things we need delivered from. Deliverance is for God’s people. Seek Him diligently to see if you have anything you need delivered from and then get that thing cast out of you. Sometimes deliverance is a process, it is ongoing. That is okay, we are a work in progress. It is not okay to play nice with your demons. They are not your friends (as I’ve heard said), they are evil and anything evil in a child of God must be rooted out and cast out.
