Today’s passage gives us an action. It says to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. Reprove is “ to correct, rebuke, or disapprove of someone’s actions or behavior.” Note, this passage does not say to actively participate because law has made it legal in the eyes of man. Nor does it say to sit passively aside, not agreeing with it or actively disagreeing. Many times it looks as if we agree with the sin because we fellowship with those in it and just allow it to slide by.
Hmmmm. That tends to show allegiance to a sinful world and not our sovereign God. It goes deeper than that. Many are on their way to hell and you may be the only one that talks to them about what is right in God’s eyes . You don’t reprove out of anger or judgment but from a place of love. This is the season to win souls, to pull them from the jaws of hell. The devil’s time is fleeting so he’s on a mission to take down as many souls as he can with him. It is our job to not only spread the light of Jesus, but stand correctly, boldly, unapologetically for what is right in His eyes. 🦅 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
