Nourishment for Your Spirit and Soul April 9, 2025

We have spent the last 6 days talking about the armor of God. Some might say, I don’t have the kind of time it takes to put on this armor. Get up earlier. You cannot afford not to put in this armor on in the days in which we are living. We live in a time where people no longer hide their sins, but do them openly. They not only do them openly, we pass laws that make sin legal. God help us . God help the Christians that support such things.

God’s heart is vexed. The Bible says in Matthew 7:13-14, “13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” You are not getting through the narrow gate believing the once saved always saved lie from the devil. If that were the case the paths would be reversed. Matthew 7:21-23 says, “21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Read that again.

You can’t live a life of sin and think you will get into heaven. I used to hear preachers say, getting into heaven by the skin of their teeth. What? Come again? We are called to a higher standard as children of God. You are all in or you are all out. He will spew the lukewarm out. You can’t be shady and take short cuts that hurt others and think God is okay with that. Staying up all night in the clubs, just too many things to mention but God sees them every one. Brothers and sisters, that armor is crucial. Please take the time to put it on daily, your soul depends on it. 🦅 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal

“11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;” ~ Ephesians 6:11-18
