I was praying for today’s nourishment scripture. Several were on my heart, but God kept bringing me back to today’s passage. “Let not then your good be evil spoken of …” What good is the good you do if it is followed by shadiness, unclean hands, backbiting, and so many other things that either bring down, discourage, or even cause your brothers and sisters in Christ to fall. Is what you’re doing producing peace and joy or is it the cause of sickness, heartache, and pain. We should be encouraging and edifying one another. Our very countenance should reflect the peace and joy of the Lord. Are you allowing your good to be evil spoken of? It’s something to reflect on. 🦅 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
“16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of: 17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. 18 For he that in these things serveth Christ [is] acceptable to God, and approved of men. 19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.” ~ Romans 14:16-19
