My brother worked hard to get our things moved today. I slowly did my best to pack, but only grew sicker into the evening. Poppa, I sat in my room and cried out. Poppa… There are times when we have done all we can and must leave it in our Father’s hands. We hold our peace and just stand.
Today I was thinking about heaven and hell and how the path to hell is wide and heaven narrow. When we stand before God it’s not our works that will get us into heaven. His Word tells us in Matthew 7:21-23, “21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Their “ignorance” will not be an excuse when they stand before Him. I find this profoundly sad. So many people are headed to hell when they have justified themselves in their own mind and are just certain of their destination.
Examining your own heart and repenting when needed is a must. Renewing your mind daily so you do not succumb to the ways of this world is critical. “Brothers and sisters” in Christ are attacking one another, placing each other in harms way for personal gain. This ought not be so. It grieves my heart greatly so I can only imagine how it grieves the Holy Spirit.
There are times the Holy Spirit has me speak loudly and others where He fights for me. I am thankful that He’s teaching me when to be still and when to speak boldly. 🦅 ~ Prophetess Michelle, #f8ithgal
