I am part of Pastor Michelle’s Kairos challenge. As she was teaching us last night, the Lord reminded me of Gideon. He was threshing wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites (Judges 6:11) when the angel of God found him. He thought God had given up on Israel. He had no idea how God was about to use him, after all he was unqualified. Right?
When the Lord spoke to Gideon, he questioned the assignment given to him. “15 And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family [is] poor in Manasseh, and I [am] the least in my father’s house.” He did not feel he was qualified. He was poor and the least of his household. He questioned how he could do this thing. He saw him himself as the wrong one for the job. He was the least in his own home. How could he defend a nation? But God! How many of you know, God takes the unqualified and He qualifies them?! He gives them the wisdom needed for the battle or any other obstacle they may encounter.
I LOVE God’s response to Gideon, “16 And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.” God told Gideon he was not doing this alone. He said surely He would be with Him. He would be with him and assure their victory. Gideon would not do this thing alone. Too many times we try to move ahead of God and do it alone.
What are you facing? You do not face it alone. If God has gone before you, will He surely not take care of you? Will He not make provision for the things He has called you to do? He spoke the world and everything in it into existence, do you not think He cannot handle the smallest to greatest problem in your life? Give it to Him and allow God to be God. I felt that deep in my spirit. Whatever it is troubling you, give it to God and allow God to be God. 🦅 ~ Prophetess Michelle, #f8ithgal
