I sat looking at today’s passage, reading over it several times. If you look around at this world, you see wicked at every turn. The papers and internet are full of heartbreaking crimes. Then you have the things our Lord defines as wicked now being committed right out in the open. No shame. I mean law makes a lot of it legal now, right?! Sodom and Gomorrah. That’s where my mind took me. We are reliving the times of Sodom and Gomorrah. It’s sad. It’s even harder when you see those same wicked people trying to oppress God’s children or take advantage of them just because they can. But God. He sees.
God sees and tells us these things, there wicked actions will only be for a little while. But how long is a little while one might ask. God’s timing is not like ours, BUT He sees every injustice, every heartbreak. We are told He catches every tear. Every tear, not just a few drops. He catches every one. He knows what we go through and will provide what we need to get through it.
Then we read verse 11, The meek shall inherit the earth. It goes on to say we shall delight ourselves in the abundance of peace. That made my heart smile. I may be going through somethings now at the hands of the wicked, but it is only for a little while. Press in child of God. Press harder when things get difficult. God will help you and He will provide. Continue to shine your light for the Lord and let Him deal with the wicked. 🦅 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
“10 For yet a little while, and the wicked [shall] not [be]: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it [shall] not [be]. 11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.” ~ Psalm 37:10-11
