Today’s passage tells us to depart from evil and do good. We are to separate ourselves from evil, we are not to partake in it. We are told to do good. This isn’t just when someone is watching, but at all times. Guard your eye gates and ears from things that try to pull you into evil.
What really caught my attention was the second part of today’s passage, “seek peace and pursue it.” We are to actively seek peace, to pursue or chase it down. Life can pitch some pretty rough curve balls. The enemy will take those balls and try to cause chaos, he will try to disrupt your peace. During those times, pray, read Scripture out loud that pertains to the area of attack and crank up that praise music. Lean into your Father.
