The Lord really started speaking to me about today’s passage a good while back. As children of God, we are in this world but not apart of this world. Our testimony matters to the people looking in. It can be a light that shines for Jesus and burns for the Kingdom of God or fire that pushes people further away. I had to really pray over today’s blog. Those in Kingdom positions of authority have an even greater accountability.
The Lord began to speak to me about what I wear, am I revealing even just a hint of any part of me that should be hidden? Then He began to speak to me about the music, even if only clips, that I attach to my TikTok or reels. Be careful daughter, you are representing Me at all times. He started highlighting things to me on public forums that really made me stop and ponder the things He’d already shown me.
Our eye gates are important. What we listen too and allow ourselves to see can spiritually affect us. Then He started bringing today’s passage to my mind, imprinting it on my heart. What we say, what we wear is important because we do not want to allow our good to be evil spoken of. We do not want to place ourselves in situations that overshadows our good. We aren’t perfect by any means, but we are accountable on how we carry ourselves. I gave this serious reflection. I want to be that light that draws people to my Father.
