Things have been really rough here. This morning I was praying for my book to be published and extra streams of income. As I was praying over that income and asking for help and wisdom, God brought me to today’s passage. I heard it clearly, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” I don’t want anything that will pad my pockets while stealing my soul. I want to use the wisdom of God in everything I do, everything I say. Less of me Lord and more of You.
I feel like I’ve said it a lot lately but God keeps saying, we are in the world but not of the world. What works for the world cannot work for us. We are different, we are set aside, we are a peculiar people. God cannot get the glory deserved if we are relying on man led ways. Poppa help us. Remove any blinders on my eyes and the eyes of your people. Guide us to Kingdom generated streams of income, Kingdom patterns of thought.
You can certainly use anyone or anything to accomplish Your plan in the lives of Your children but I ask for the wisdom to abide in Your perfect will. Too many times I’ve strayed and You used those things for my good. I’ve grown older Poppa and I want your perfect will for my life. You increase as I decrease in Jesus’ name.
