A precious brother in Christ sent me today’s passage in a devotional this morning and it hit me deep in my spirit. The devil has really attacked my mind the last several days, but last night’s attack was the worse by far. I sat and thought on that attack and then I meditated on today’s passage.
There is nothing that can separate us from the love God. Jesus gave His life to atone for our sins. His blood cleanses us. It takes our filthy garments and replaces them anew. All that sin we committed, wiped clean. The devil loves to whisper about who we used to be before we accepted Christ as our Savior but we are no longer the person we used to be. The Holy Spirit dwells in us, cleansing us from the inside out.
It may take a little longer for some than others but the transformation does takes place. God’s grace and mercy is poured out over us because of the blood of Christ. Saving us from the pit of hell would be more than enough, but He doesn’t stop there. We become heirs to the Kingdom of God. We are grafted right in. Abba God becomes our Father and He is protective over His children.
Is the devil whispering in your ear? Is He telling you that you are unworthy to be a child of the King? He is a liar. The blood of Jesus makes you worthy. Is He reminding you of the person you used to be? Shoot arrows back saying who you are in Christ. Perhaps he is telling you that you can’t do that thing or things God has called you to do. Loudly declare I can do ALL things who Christ who strengthens me. Child of God, you MUST be bold during this season. The Bible is your sword, yield it gracefully and with power. With every lie the devil whispers, you find a Scripture to counter it and you declare it loudly. It is not a season to sit back timidly and whisper a response to his lies. No, child of God, this is the season to walk bodily and declare God’s word loudly. You are rooted in Christ and you will not be moved! 🦅 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
“38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” ~ Romans 8:38-39
