The Lord has laid some heavy things on my heart. He has showed me somethings that will not be popular with today’s church. However, I cannot sit on those things that He wants the world to know. Today’s passage weighed heavy on my mind as He spoke to me. As children of God, we are not to be conformed to this world. We can’t do things the world does, attend events the world attends, we can’t support things that are directly or indirectly against the word of God. We can’t speak light while abiding in the dark.
When we are saved by the blood of Jesus, a change takes place. We are daily transformed by the renewing of our mind. The verse doesn’t stop there. It says we are transformed by the renewing of our mind that we may prove what is good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Whew, that is a lot. As we are transformed, we no longer think the same. We don’t attend the same events or parties. We don’t frequent the same places.
Read this verse and spend some time with God this week. Take a look at what you did before being saved and since being saved. Do you frequent clubs or churches? What kind of music do you listen to? Is it pleasing to the ears of God or does it have a worldly feel. Is that too much? What about where you worship? Can you feel the reverence of God? These things matter. Have a talk with your Father and allow Him to root out anything not of Him. Our days on earth are numbered. Christ return is coming soon. Your relationship with Him matters.
