Today’s passage is powerful. Most of us want to be liked, we want to be accepted by our peers, our church, even people we randomly meet. It can cause hurt feelings and sadness when rejected. I understand this all too well, but do you know who understands it more than anyone else? Jesus. That’s right, Jesus. He was hated by His own people. He was rejected, despised to the point they crucified Him. He was completely innocent, the most loving man to walk the earth. He came to save us and the very people who crucified Him.
If they hated Him to this magnitude, we can understand how the world would hate His children today. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior we are in the world but no longer of the world. When we are sold out for Jesus we become an enemy to the devil and all he controls in this world. Jesus plucked us up from a death sentence and gave us eternal life. When His light shines brightly through you it is a threat to the kingdom of darkness. Your spirit will clash with those still operating under darkness.
Sweet child of God do not be discouraged, do not be dismayed, and do not dim your light for anyone. Do not shy away from whatever it is God has anointed you to do. You do it boldly and unapologetically. You were called for this moment in time and there has never been a more important time to be in the battlefield for our God. Lean into Him, follow His commands, and do not be worried about what the world thinks. What God thinks is what matters and the impact He can use you for His Kingdom is worth more than who likes or approves of you. Go forward in God, He will guide you every step of the way. 🦅 ~ Prophetess Michelle, #f8ithgal
“If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.” ~ John 15:19
