It amazes how God can use the plots and schemes of the enemy and turn them around to bless and encourage us in Him. I was sent verse 18 of today’s passage from a seasonal person in my life, one the Lord removed for my own physical, mental, emotional, and even spiritual safety. I read the verse and smiled. Verse 19 is just as important.
God tells us not to remember the former things or consider the things of old. If He has removed you from a person or a situation, stop looking back. By looking back, you hinder your own growth and mental well being. If God removed you, He did it for a reason. He has done it with purpose and it was to protect you. Stop looking back says the Lord, I am doing a new thing. Do you not believe that I’m in the middle of the situation? Stop looking back.
God wants the best for His children. He wants to do a new thing. It is waiting to spring forth a refreshing spring but you can’t pour a mudslide over it by looking back. This spring is fresh, ready to renew and refresh you, but you have to allow that last hurt, that past trauma, that person or thing go. I’m doing a new thing days the Lord. Stop focusing on the things of old.
The final part of today’s passage is so encouraging to me. He says He will make a way in the wilderness, rivers, and desert. He’s making a way friend, take it! Sit at your Father’s feet and pray continually. Listen for His still small voice. He’s speaking, you just have to lean in and listen. He’s doing a new thing, how exciting is that?! Don’t be so focused on the past that you miss the blessings of now. I decree and declare that new thing is popping up as you lay the old things to test. 🦅 , Prophetess Michelle, #f8ithgal
“18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, [and] rivers in the desert.” ~ Isaiah 43:18-19
