Child of God, you were not meant to fit in with the world. Today’s passage calls us chosen, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and even a peculiar people. We have been called out of the darkness and into God’s light with His mercy and grace shining all over us, all through us. We are to shine that light into a dark world. That light will draw others to us, it will grow the seeds we plant along the way. Our DNA has taken on that of Christ, whose blood washed us and set us free. It’s okay not to fit in because you were chosen to be set apart.
