Glory hallelujah, Jesus lived, was dead, and is alive forevermore!! Not only that, He has the keys of hell and death. During one of our nightly programs this week, Apostle Faith spoke on today’s passage. I began to meditate on it and just how profound it is.
Jesus came to earth, taking on human flesh. He was treated terrible, if only they had believed He was THE King of Kings. That could not happen because He had to die an extremely painful death by crucifixion. Ahhh, but the grave could not hold Him! He rose again, descended into hell and took those keys and the power of death with Him. Saints! Death has no power over us. We may die this fleshy death but we will have eternal life on the other side!
In stark contrast, those not saved with have eternal damnation. This is heartbreaking to me. The gospel is right there, salvation is within reach but many refuse it. Others do not want to give up the things of the world so they put it off. Tomorrow is never promised. We are seeing prophecy come to life right before our eyes. Jesus will return soon. If God is tugging at your heart, today is the day for salvation! Jesus died for YOU! If you are not saved let today be that day. If you’ve fallen away, God is calling those prodigal sons and daughters back home. Don’t allow the enemy to deceive you.
