Today’s passage (and tomorrow’s) is another passage from Pastor Dale’s sermon last night. I’ve struggled the last month or so after coming off of a migraine medication that was also for the depression from my broken marriage and ultimately my divorce. That medication had actually suppressed those emotions and delayed my healing. As I navigate through facing them and true healing, I find myself meditating over today’s passage.
Today’s Scripture clearly says we must come after Jesus. We must follow Him, actively pursue him. It then says we are to deny ourselves. Our flesh is going to try to flare up. We must crucify it, deny it completely. Finally, we are to take up the cross DAILY and follow Jesus. This world will try to sway you to the path towards hell. It will try to convince you that Biblical beliefs are outdated and no longer apply. After all, we have laws making some of them legal. The devil is a liar.
Sin is sin no matter what bow you place on it or any law that approves it. That daily part is critical. Pick up your cross daily. It is the only way to walk in God’s ways and pursue the things of Him. 🙌🏻 ~ Prophetess Michelle. #f8ithgal #Joy
