I was scrolling through FB yesterday when I found a real from Brother Joseph Larson that stirred my spirit. It was about the company you keep and why it matters. We are living in perilous times. In fact, these are the last days and the devil is desperate. He is out to take souls and steal testimonies. He is determined to drag all he can to hell with him to burn in eternal damnation.
Today’s passage is very clear about the company we keep, more importantly the company we should not keep. No one sin is greater than the other and all sin will send you to hell without the redeeming blood of Jesus. When you make it habit to hang around sin, you open yourself up to it. I’m not saying not to be a light for Jesus in a dark world. We must shine and be a witness for Him. However, we cannot give way to that sin. We cannot agree or support that sin. Hate the sin, but loving the sinner is important, but there are times we must step back and pray from a distance to prevent becoming infected from the very sins we were forgiven from.
Who are you hanging with? Who are you breaking bread with? It matters my friends. Pray and ask God to reveal to you any places you need to step back from. When we dwell with sinners too long it is too easy to slip into or back into that sin. Pray earnestly and be mindful of who sits at your table on an ongoing basis. Be a witness, be a light, but don’t become entangled in the sin before you. 🦅 ~ Prophetess Michelle, #f8ithgal
“But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.” ~ 1 Corinthians 5:11
