Today’s passage has been heavy on my heart. It is hurtful when you listen to the Lord and the people you thought were in your corner are completely indifferent to that thing God birthed out of you. They saw you in your traveling season. They literally watched this thing being birthed by God and yet they seemingly ignore what the Lord God Himself birthed through you.
I mentioned this in my prophetic class, who God has truly placed in my circle, and they understood the hurt. My mom reminded me of today’s passage. If Jesus was not accepted in His home town or by His family, people who actually saw His ministry in action how much more will what He gives me be ignored in the same. The hurt is softened when I look at my Savior and what He endured from His own people. More of You Lord and less of me. Crucify my flesh Poppa. I must decrease so that you can increase. I’m not everyone’s cup of tea. Many will reject what God has given me and the ministry He has trusted me with. It will still go on to reach well outside of my borders, well outside of those I thought were in my corner.
