I watched a clip earlier of an older man who had “been sent by the Holy Spirit” to challenge Charlie Kirk to a fight. He was sent to tell him how wrong he was and basically put him in his place. I sat in disbelief. The man was clearly deceived by the devil. God loves us so much that he sent His only son to earth, to die a horrific death, and rise from the dead. He offers us the gift of eternal life. The devil is constantly trying to mimic God and pervert the gospel.
Once you receive Jesus into your heart, something changes in you. The Holy Spirit begins cleaning you up from the inside out. This may not be instant, but make no mistake a transformation takes place. If you do not begin to be convicted by sin or if you ignore that conviction, your spiritual and eternal life are in jeopardy. We are told in the Word of God, our spiritual road map, what kind of people will not make it in to heaven. Sadly, I look around and see those very type every where. I not only see them, I hear them laughing at those sins, defending those sins, we even have laws upholding those sins. God help us.
Today’s passage reminds us to love the Lord our God with all of our heart, our soul, and our might. Have you ever had someone who proclaims to love you but hurts you over and over and over again. Was that true love, a Godly love? It was more of a twisted, perverted love. Not a true love because you don’t continually hurt the one you love.
I can see times in my life where I professed my love for God, but my actions were far from it. We are to not only honor God with our mouth but our actions. I am so thankful that God did not give up on me. I am grateful that He not only forgave me but helped me turn from my sinful ways. It is time for a heart check. Many say they love God with all their heart, but does the life you live reflect it? Is that life leading people to our Father or condoning the sinful ways of the world. Why does it matter? The path to hell is wide and that to heaven is narrow. It matters. 🦅 ~ Prophetess Michelle, #f8ithgal, #Joy
