Today’s passage was one of the verses from our Bible study last week. I have been meditating on it. We are so blessed to serve a risen Savior who died so that we can live in eternity with Him. We must keep our heart clean and pure before Him. Because we are human, we should be repenting daily of anything that keeps us hearing God clearly with a pure heart.
Godly sorrow is not condemnation, it is conviction from the Holy Spirit and it moves us to get our heart right. Without that Godly conviction, you simply have sorrow. Sadly that sorrow, worketh death. God doesn’t want anyone to parish but have ever lasting life. Who the Son sets free is free indeed. The devil will try to pull you into your old, unsaved self. Send Him packing. If you do fall, it’s okay. Do not dismiss the godly sorrow or conviction you feel. Get back up, repent, and keep going.
