Oppression is exploit, take advantage of, or mistreat. How many have felt that spirit of oppression? I have. It’s actually been weighing heavily over me. But God. We are told in today’s passage that the Lord WILL be a refuge for the oppressed. That’s not a maybe, it’s a promise! How many are going through times of trouble? We are again promised He WILL be our refuge in times of trouble.
These are hard times. Rent is outrageous, food cost continue to go up with smaller portions packaged, and the utilities have gone through the rough. There is work and financial stress causing family stress. The devil is trying it all to cause depression, suicide, withdrawal from those around you, family division. He is a liar.
If you find yourself in this position, if you are saying I can relate as you read this, lean into God. He IS your refuge. Cry out Abba Father, help me! Spend time in His presence. He is the answer child of God, lean in. If you are not saved, today is the day of salvation says the Lord. Don’t put it off. Accept Jesus in your heart today.
