I was skimming through Proverbs this morning and today’s passage jumped up from the page at me. Hell and destruction are NEVER full. The enemy is seeking those he can devour. He wants to pull as many people to hell as he can. His fate has been set, he now wants to alter yours. He wants to take as many souls as he can with him to the depths of hell. Good works won’t get you to heaven. You can’t buy your way into it. It takes a heart transformation through the blood of Jesus. It takes a change rooted in Christ. You must leave the old you behind and step into the new man created when you were saved.
The eyes of man are NEVER satisfied. We must die to flesh. This is a painful but necessary thing. Our eyes cannot be set on the things of the world, those things lead to death and an eternity in hell. Our focus must be on the cross and the perfect work of Christ. It’s time for another heart check. These are serious y’all and that’s why we should be checking the state of our heart daily as we renew our mind. Are you following the world or God? Are you passive in your faith or sharing the gospel to others? Hell is real and people need to know it. The condition of our heart matters.
