Today is the Made For More Women’s Conference. Working on the breakout sessions I am holding brought be clarity and fresh revelation. As I was praying for a Scripture for today, I heard my yoke is easy. That’s it, just that small portion in Matthew 11:30. I immediately turned to Matthew 11 to read that passage. I began to research the word yoke in this passage. A yoke is a tool that connects two animals to distribute the weight and allowing them to work together to pull the load. I smiled at the thought of being connected to Christ.
Jesus gives us rest from oppression. He gives us guidance, He literally lifts the weight from our shoulders. He bids us to come to him, those that are heavy laden. Are you carrying somethings that are heavy on your shoulders, somethings that are weighing you down? Jesus tell us how to find us rest, it’s in Him. How many need that rest? You are weary, you are tired. Jesus instructs us to take His yoke upon us and learn from Him. He is meek and lowly and by doing this we will find rest for our souls. Glory hallelujah. His yoke is easy and Hid burden is light!
Why do we try to carry those heavy things all alone with the weight literally pulling us down? There are things we weren’t meant to carry, things our shoulders were not equipped to withstand the burden from them. Let those things go child of God. Release them onto the shoulders of Jesus, allow His yoke to rest upon you. You are not alone, stop carrying it all as if you were. Jesus is right there with you, lay it at His feet and be free. That’s it. Freedom through Jesus and His perfect work at the cross. Burdens, troubles, insecurities. Leave them all at His feet and walk with the reassurance and relief of things you were never meant to carry. 🦅 ~ Prophetess Michelle, #f8ithgal, #Joy
“28 Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke [is] easy, and my burden is light.” ~ Matthew 11:28-30
