Today’s passage is interesting to me. We all know Jesus as the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”). Here we read Jesus saying we thought He came to give peace, but He tells us He came to bring division. I had to dig deeper.
There will be a spiritual divide between God’s children, those that have accepted Jesus as their Savior, and the lost, those still of the world and under the control of satan. We are already seeing this divide today. God’s children who have been saved by grace have a precious peace over them. We are in the world but not of it any longer. The world does not recognize the the things the Bible outlines as sin. Christians need to be careful of the things they come in agreement with that are not of God. We should be acting and doing the things of God not the laws of man that tickle the ears. It’s food for thought. 🦅 ~ Prophetess Michelle, #f8ithgal #Joy
“Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:” ~ Luke 12:51
