Repentance is necessary to enter into the Kingdom of God. Jesus washed away our sins when we receive Him as our Lord and Savior. That is not a license to sin. We are human, being human there are times we will sin. There are times we don’t even realize we have sinned . The devil loves it when that happens.
Every day I ask God to forgive me of my sins, known and unknown. I ask for Him to show me the unknown so that I can consciously stop doing that sin. I thank God for the conviction and correction of the Holy Spirit. Conviction by the Holy Spirit leads to repentance. If you do not feel that when you have sinned, I urge to have a real and personal conversation with God because the path you are on is not a good one.
The Holy Spirit doesn’t convict in a condemning way but out of love. I want to be in right standing with our Father when Jesus returns so I examine my heart daily. Today is a good day for a heart check. Do you feel the nudge of the Holy Spirit when you have done wrong or do you continue on with no conviction.
