Nourishment for Your Spirit and Soul: November 8, 2025

I read Daniel 10 many times before God dropped something important into my spirit. It was in verses 12-13 that he showed me the importance of prayer and fasting. The Angel, in verse 12, tells Daniel, “from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.” God heard Daniel the first day he prayed. Now catch verse 13, “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.” The Prince of Persia is an evil entity or angel that is appointed by satan. Now during these 21 days Daniel had been fasting and praying. This is significant my friends because fasting and prayer brings breakthrough.

We are told in Matthew 17:21, “Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” There are going to be somethings that can only be broken off by and prayers that can only be answered through prayer and fasting. God heard Daniel the first day he prayed. The answer required him to chasten himself before God, he had to pray fervently and fast for 21 days. Angels had to fight pure evil to get to him.

That’s powerful. The devil and his evil literally held the angels up in a battle to keep them from reaching Daniel. What you say? The devil’s evil angels were able to hold back the messengers of God. Ahhhh, but Daniel had the heart of God. He fasted and prayed and the battle broke and the angel of God delivered His message. God gives us prayer and fasting for breakthrough and they are mighty weapons when one is facing spiritual warfare. Are you facing this kind of warfare? It might be time to deploy this weapon. I would say it is time to deploy it and watch strongholds fall, breakthrough take place, and God’s wisdom pour out with the answers and solutions you seek. Remember something’s goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. 🦅 ~ Prophetess Michelle, #f8ithgal, #Joy

“12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.” ~ Daniel 10:12-13
