Has God ever shown you something or someone that you just can’t unsee? I have thought heavily on that over the last several days. He showed me my ex-husband in the spirit realm, who he was and what he could do. Lately He has showed me spirits behind “friends” and people who hold religious titles. There are times that I just say wow Poppa, really?
Today’s passage tells us not to believe every spirit, but to try them whether they are of God. Why? Many false prophets are gone out into the world. We are also told the spirit of the Antichrist is already in the world. The enemy knows the Word of God very well. He knows how to twist the truth just enough to make his lies believable.
I ask God to show me any snakes in my garden. I found some with the spirit of gossip, they were doing it “not to gossip but so we could pray”. I am certain those same friends are talking about me “not to gossip but to pray.” It was gossip hiding behind prayer. He had showed me propheslying prophets. Those who were sent to cause division with the words they declared were from God. He showed me those trying to bring the spirit of fear with the words they spewed.
If it doesn’t lead you back to Jesus and the completed work of the cross you had better pray hard over those you let guide you. Division and fear are not fruits of the spirit. Test the spirits and pray for God’s discernment and wisdom to separate the sheep from the wolves in your midst. Try the spirits. Not everyone that says they are of God are really leading you to God. Try the spirits! 🦅 ~ Prophetess Michelle, #f8ithgal, #Joy
“1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.” ~ 1 John 4:1-3
