I am so thankful to serve a God that loves and provides for His children. I am thankful to live in a free country, but that freedom comes with a heavy price. Tonight a father and family mourn the death of daughter who should never had died. He held her hand as her life slipped away. A 21 year old National Guard member on a mission in Washington DC. My mind tries to wrap around how that happens here on US soil in our countries capital. She was from my home state and our hearts break for this tragic loss, for the pain her family and friends are enduring. Today, a day our country celebrates Thanksgiving and it is forever changed for this family. Please continue to cover her family and friends over the next days and months.
